When it was time for the twins to assumes the throne of the empire, Xeleth accused Xedalli of treason and sedition.

To prove her innocence she challenged her brother to ritual combat choosing you as her champions.

Xeleth chose the zodar, a mythical creature that has served the imperial family for centuries. So you trapped it in a bubble and shoved it into the astral font and teleported it into the heart of the star.

Consequently Xedalli becomes sole emperor. You return her ring to her and she turns on you, and orders the imperial guard to take you away.
