At the beginning of the first age, hostilities broke out between dragons and giants. Io, the god of all dragons, and the Allfather, god of all giants, split the land into Koki and Banor.
But isolation only bred suspicion and hatred.
The Draco-Jotun wars finally ended when the giants drew a great meteor down from the sky, destroying a large part of Koki, creating the great bay and the Kemor archipelago. The dragons sundered Banor in two creating sounthern Banru and northern Banrel.
Both sides chastened by their own violence, and their numbers greatly reduced, the dragons and the giants retreated, ending the first age.
Ancient magic and technology from the first age is said to be hidden in Bankmor.
The Goblin Empire rose and ruled every inch of the land. The first elves and dwarves appeared around this time from across the eastern sea and from under the mountains. Eventually dwarven master smiths and high elven mages worked together to forge a powerful artifact that toppled the empire and forever cursed goblinkind. It is believed that should the artifact ever be found and destroyed, the empire will rise once more.
In the modern era, humans appeared and spread like an invasive species.
