bio

Eivas had an idyllic upbringing from his parents, if unconventional. He was born through biomancy (druidic magic) as a joint project from his parents, and raised with love. Chief among his parents concerns when crafting Eivas was inherent adaptability and intellect, which he (with a starting int of 17) shows in spades. The other concerns were personal decisions from his parents. From his father he gained an allergy to meat (So that if he reproduces he'll save the planes), a natural microdosing mechanism, pumping small amounts of psychedelic compounds in his bloodstream, and the ability to fall from great heights (His adventuring buddy died from a long fall and he thought it was a particularly embarrassing way to die). His mother on the other hand, had more specific goals. She instilled him with the ability to manifest "mana" (artificer spell slots) in his blood. It's a power source produced by some monsters, and vast natural resources that can be used to power fabulous machinations, enchant weapons, summon beings from other planes, etc. Working together, they brought a perfectly healthy, blue-skinned mutant into the the world.

He was raised in Ravincia proper, right next to the Simic Combine in an upper-middle class suburb. Although a bit distractable between subjects, he took to his studies as his parents foresaw, with voraciousness. Unintentionally or not, he was bogged down in the most simple of magical appliances, taking them apart to figure out how they worked. His parents were stymied again and again to get him to delve into biomancy, but eventually his father relented, saying "Life, uh, finds a way." (Hope you have a good Jeff Goldblum impression ready :P)

When he reached adulthood he'd already been schooled in the natural and magical sciences, and had some grasp of interplanar history. Work had picked up for the parents, so it was time to send him off to school. His mother, a Quandrix graduate, suggested that house, so off he went.
