idea: failed experiment of combining an autognome with a rogue tridrone (d4 modron) = god is Primus + source of "Dee Fores" ?

Maybe he was a Quadrone in command of 12 Tridrones who malfunctioned when upgrading (or refused to upgrade?) to a Pentadrone: he retained memory of his "d4s".
Shoobbno the inventor created an autognome chasis and created a new construct out of the drone's remaining parts.
Now a Nonaton is trying to track him down?

okay, so my idea is kind of a two-pronged approach
and it's not 100% fleshed out yet
but

You/Dunno were saying that their powers (their "deity") comes from the planet they're from. And I was thinking that if that planet could be a sort of sentient, benevolent planet, that could fit in very nicely with something I'm thinking of doing later in the game.

Here's the funny bit: Modrons are kind of fleshy mechanical beings of Pure Law. it's all kind of silly, but the lesser modrons are all shaped like polyhedrals. the tridrones are three sided and look like a d4. the quadrones look like a d6, etc. They are also extremely hierarchical. none of them can conceive of a modron more than one rank above or below them. so the chain of command is very important. Anyway, so imagine there was a quadrone leading a squad of tridrones (d4s). This quadrone was supposed to be upgraded---which happens every now and then---but when it was upgraded to a pentadrone, something went wrong: it should at this point only be able to conceive of quadrones below it and the next rung above it (which is actually decatons and not sesdrones but whatever) but for some reason it retained memory/awareness of its tridrones. There are higher up modrons whose whole job it is to hunt down and destroy rogue/malfunctioning modrones like this one, and that's what happened. So Dunno's As Of Yet Unnamed Creator builds an autognome out of scap modron pieces and the Sentient Benevolent Planet imbued it with a bit of its own benevolence and also some of this modron's essence. This is all a set up so that every once in a while Dunno feels a compulsion to "don't forget your d4s!"
