You defeated the giant scorpion at Sedgemoor Swamp and purified the tainted spring with the holy water.

You found the journal of Murgaxor, and were able to read a little about his experiments with life draining magic.

Further research turned up a 200 year old yearbook photo with a young Murgaxor accompanied by a young Jadzi and a young Extus Narr, two Strixhaven professors who were up for the title of Oracle.

Speaking of the Oracle, Jadzi was at the commencement ceremony. She told you that Murgaxor basically went into hiding after he was expelled, and Extus quit the school after he was passed over for Oracle. He now holds private lectures and book signings and stuff.
